Bone Health in Young People with Disabilities - Pack of 5 Booklets
The booklet focusses on aspects of bone health during growth and adolescence in both boys and girls with disabilities
Normal bone development and the various techniques for assessment are described to help understand how bone grows and why the tests are performed.
It describes a range of contributions to health and the ways in which they may interact. It will provide guidelines for parents and carers so that the best outcome can be planned for the affected child.
Other specialty areas, such as orthopaedics and neurology, will be mentioned, but only in the context of interaction with bone health.
